• Responsibilities and services of the IPSP:The IPSP offers infrastructure, hosting, and technical maintenance. The IPSP may also offer support services for journal management.
• Responsibilities of the editorial team: Editorial teams are responsible for the quality of the journal’s content, journal best practices, and the editorial process (including peer review).
• Copyright and usage rights: All rights remain with the authors.
• Responsibility and liability: Clarifies who is responsible for the content and any related legal issues. It may be useful to use an agreement between editors and authors.
• Liability arrangements: Clarifies responsibility for legal claims related to published content.
• Duration and termination of services: Defines the agreement period, renewal, and exit procedures under which hosting services may be discontinued.
• Preservation and migration: Allows for platform changes and preservation measures to ensure long-term access to published content.
• Costs and Fees: Explains which costs, if any, are covered by the IPSP and whether any costs apply to editors.
• Withdrawal/Leaving the service: Describes how the agreement can be terminated by either party, including the process and timeframe.
• Legal disclosure requirements: Covers any mandatory publication or institutional information that must be displayed.
